The only liquid that an electromagnetic flowmeter can detect is the flow of conductive liquid, which is widely employed in industrial chemical measurement, sewage water measurement, and water supply, among other applications. The transmitter and converter may be put in various locations using the remote type, which has a high IP protection level. The output signal can communicate via RS485 or pulse between 4 and 20 mA.
Principle electromagnetic flowmeter
A mag meter measures conductive media with conductivity more than 5 μs/cm and a flow range of 0.2 to 15 m/s, operating on the basis of Faraday’s law. A volumetric flowmeter that gauges a liquid’s flow velocity through a pipe is called an electromagnetic flowmeter.
The following sums up the measurement principle of magnetic flowmeters: when a liquid flows through a pipe with a diameter of D at a flow rate of v, an exciting coil creates a magnetic flux density of B within the pipe, and as a result, an electromotive E is generated in proportion to the flow speed v.
